ARRM Leadership Institute
The ARRM Leadership Institute, ALI, is a new training series for rising stars of Home and Community-Based Service (HCBS) organizations. Developed by HCBS executives, program directors and training managers, this four-part program is designed to build the skills and knowledge necessary to become future leaders of the disability services world.
ALI is designed to develop both the necessary knowledge needed for HCBS organizations, but also personal communications and leadership skills necessary to manage programs and contribute to the success of their organization. Over the course of the year, ALI attendees will receive hands-on instruction for topics such as:
- Supervising employees
- Managing time and workload
- Ethics and values
- Diversity and inclusion, and more.
The training is intended to build a cohort of trainees who will develop valuable connections with each other, learn and engage with one another. The yearlong program consists of four day-long sessions.
ALI will be most valuable for rising HCBS professionals seeking to develop into successful leaders. The ideal trainee is:
- Ambitious with high aspirations
- Preparing for or recently promoted to managerial or other leadership positions
- Recently hired and looking to build HCBS-specific leadership skills
ALI is open to both non-members and staff of ARRM members. Investment is discounted for ARRM members. The series is capped at 50 cohort attendees, individual session attendance is limited.
